Role Reversal

So hubby has been a stay at home dad for two months. Today he is in a foul mood and is complaining about the housework and cooking dinner. He actually said he just feels overwhelmed by it all today.

Now to be fair, Spencer has been at home sick this week. The house is not clean, the dishes are not done. He has cooked dinner this week and took Spencer to the doctor, but that is about it.

He said to me this evening, "You could help out you know." I simply smiled, gave him a hug and walked away.

What I REALLY wanted to say was"now you know how I feel" but we all know that would have started an argument and who needs that after a long week. I think I can be happy with the satisfaction of seeing him feel that way for once.
